Seniors in GF - Juniors keep on winning

Our Under 15 Stingrays side is into its third grand final in four years with a very convincing 61 run win over third placed Aldinga Sharks.

We bowled and fielded very well to hold them to 54.  Scores of 23, 14, 1 and 16 were caused by some outstanding catching and very good run out chances.  Rachael had four wickets in her two overs, Brandi three and Thomas two were the top bowlers.  We scored the 54 in the seventh over and were never headed.  Brandi and James 33, Rachael and Donna 33 and Daniel and Thomas 36 took us to 115.

Next week we play Sharks in the GF ( who we have beaten once this season.)

The Juniors had a very convincing win 147 to 60 over Flapjacks.  Eben and Ethan made 23, the Moyle family 38 (Liam a 7!), the Armstrong twins 37 and Emily and Jesse 49.
We took early wickets to have their first pair held to 12, thereafter they made 20, 19 and 9.
Liam Moyle had his best performance with 25 runs and three wickets.
Next week the juniors play their last game for the season.

The Juniors had a hard fought win over Lil Rippers.
We batted first making 102.  Kelly and Hannah made 18, Ethen and Eben 24, Nikki and Emily 19 and a 41 run stand between Jessie and James took us just over the 100.

Their first pair made 21 - very good bowling from Jessie, Eben, Hannah and james held their second pair to 3.  We took three wickets in this partnership giving us the advantage.  Thier last two pairs made 23 and 17 to give us a 38 run win.

The Under 15s have a 2 v 3 final at 5pm next Tuesday.

The Under 12s have their only 4pm game for the season on Tuesday.

Seniors confirm second spot - Juniors down by three runs - MV Sharks Women win Super League

The Seniors (Under15s) have secured second spot in the second last round of Indoor Cricket.  We defeated our traditional rivals Gold Machine by 26 runs.

Batting first we made 105 with solid contributions from each pair.  James and Brandi 24, Donna and first gamer Chloe 19, Cara and Johnny 29 and Tom and Daniel 33.  They started well with 22 and were on target making 29 for the second pair (51).  We held them to 21 in the third pair (72) meaning they needed 34 from the last pair.  The "at the death" bowlers Thomas and Donna secured five wickets to keep their last pair to 7.

The Under 12s game went down to the wire against Flying Sharks.  We made 100, with Jessie and Kelly making 37, Nikki and Liam 30 to give us 67 at the half way mark.  Eben and Ethan made one and last pair Hannah and Emily made 32.
They scored 38 for the first pair, 24 for second and 25 for the third (87).  They needed 13 from the last pair.  We took three wickets to have them on 99 with seven balls to go, they maintained a buffer of six runs until the last ball (when we took a wicket) to run out three run winners.

MORPHETT VALE SHARKS WON THE WOMEN'S SUPER LEAGUE TITLE. This team includes A graders Jess O'Reilly and Marg Hay.  Well done.
