Donna Clark has won the Annette Fellows Award for services
to women’s cricket over the last 12 months.
The Award is granted by the SACA Women’s Committee from a
number of nominees from each club It is
given to a club person who has given
service and commitment to the game of cricket.
Donna’s nomination read
“This season has seen Donna willingly give her time to assist others.
She has
been involved in leading coaching sessions of the Reynella IN2Cricket sessions
in school Term 4 (2013) and Term 1 (2014).
She also ran coaching sessions as part of the Active After School
Coaching at Braeview Primary School in
October-December 2013.
In these
sessions she is a significant role model for all players – in particular female
players. She demonstrates drills and is
now a lead coach with these groups.
She also
was involved in the Girls Only Lunchtime activities at the Ashes test match
with her players from Reynella.
During
the season Donna also had the opportunity to appear on the Children’s Program
Totally Wild.
Donna has
shown excellent leadership skills over the last 12 months. This season has also
seen Donna represent players on the Southern District Women’s Committee. She has been willing to put player’s views clearly. She has been involved in the Club fundraising
events and has given her time to attend club functions such as presentation
evenings and Junior Presentations.
She has
willingly given her time to assist new players at Southern. She has offered her own time to run small
group skills session to new players.”
