Just because the seasons over doesn't mean there is no cricket - SAPSASA week

In the week before Easter the first girls inter-zone SAPSASA championships were held.  There were eight teams North East Metro, Western Metro, Eastern Metro, North East Country, North West Country, Central Country, Southern Country and Southern Metro.  This meant over 90 girls from Years 5-7 were involved in games.
Kempey and Jerry Blair (from Strath) coached the team. We had seven  girls who had played B grade last season in the team and we introduced five others to cricket during the week.
Congratulations to Ella Wilson, Chelsea Kennedy, Kaitlyn Heath, Gypsy Schirmer and Bree Madder who were chosen the trial for the SAPSASA team in late April.
We used the week to give everyone in our squad the chance to show their skills.  All batters, if not dismissed, were retired after four overs and were given two overs an innings.
