Dayna has a day out with hat trick!

The Women’s team opened the season with a very good win over Port in their first T20.
Captain Dayna Cox had a "day out" scoring 30 runs and taking a hat trick.
Winning the toss we lost an early wicket but captain Dayna Cox 30 (off 43) and Rachael Greenshields 23no gave us an excellent base with a 72 run stand – batting well into the 15th over.
Kylie Rattray played a match winning cameo with 28 (16 balls) with one four and three sixes to see us finish with 117 off 20 overs.
Rachael’s innings was very valuable as she pushed singles, ran well and gave fantastic support to Dayna and Kylie.
117 looked to be just over par as the slowish ground made scoring boundaries difficult.  (We hit two and 3 sixes from Kylie.)
Dayna Cox gave us the early breakthrough with wickets a hat trick punctuated by a no ball! (Her wickets included state rep Amanda Wellington.) This had Port 3/15 in the 4th over. She was bowling when we scored a run out in the six over and took a catch in the eighth to have Port 5/30.
They batted out the overs to end up with 82.
