The As grade finished
the season with an eight wicket in over arch rivals Sturt. In doing do it thwarted their efforts to make
the finals. It also saved us from the
wooden spoon.
We held The Blues to 216 off 50 overs. we bowled accurately using our slower bowlers
to take the pace off the ball. The best
with ball was Tammy Beaumont. She took
2/41 with a mixture of offies, cutters, and quicker balls. She took the key wicket of Australian rep
Megan Schutt late in the innings.
Brandi took a wicket to take her tally to a season BP of 13 wickets in A grade.
Chasing 219 we lost Tahlia in the first over (the second
time Megan has dismissed her this season).
Rachael and Tammy consolidated the innings taking the score to 92 in the
22nd over. Kayla and Tammy
took us home with a 131 run third wicket stand.
For Kayla it was her second PB in consecutive weeks – being
run out for 46 in quest of her first 50 for the club – having scored two at
state level). She batted 67 balls, 80
minutes with 5 fours.
But it was Tammy who stole the show. She enjoyed playing Megan and really
appreciated the extra pace on to the bat.
She took full toll of the Sturt off spinners taking them for better than
five an over.
Her nimble footwork and judgement of the quick single were a
feature.

We thank her for her work over the last three weeks. It is a great experience for our batters to
work with international players.
It was our FOURTH CENTURY

We also thank Tammy for her work with the Reynella In2
Cricket group on Saturday morning.

The Bs were back on board after a month off. (Due to heat,
forfeits etc.). we debuted three players
– Sanjete Singh, Billy Manuel and Gypsy Shermirer (the latter two from the
recent SAPSASA and Gary Putland trials.
We played against Shari Bray ( for the second time in three weeks after she
played with Northern’s As a fortnight ago.)
Batting first we started well with 28 off the first five
overs with newcomer Sanjete Singh and Rachel Dickinson looking good. Bridee and Rachel took the score to 42 – but
we lost seven wickets quickly to be 8/49.
Kaitlyn Heath and first gamers Caitlin Seccofein and Billy Manuel held
them up to see us all out for 60.
Bridee took a wicket in the first over and first gamer Gypsy
made their openers rush their shots early.
We took further wickets at 36, 44 and 50 but they passed us in the 25th
over.

ROLTON MEDAL
With a close look at the stats this seems to be race in two
between Tahlia and Nothern’s Hanna Perry.
It will depend on how the umpires have seen T Mac’s performances in the
games we lost.
