Meanwhile, in Round four of the Powerade Twenty20 Cup, an all-round performance by Southern District's Kayla McGrath has resulted in her being selected as the 'Powerade Junior Cricketer of the Round'.
Playing against Sturt at AA Bailey Reserve, the Blues won the toss and elected to bat. However, it did not take long for the Stingray bowlers to have top of the table Sturt in trouble. McGrath was instrumental in restricting Sturt to 42 runs, finishing with impressive figures of 3/5 from 3.4 overs which included one maiden.
The Stingrays made a good start to their innings before McGrath came in at 1/29. She then proceeded to punish the Sturt bowlers and was at the crease when her team passed the required total. After their twenty overs, Southern District finished with 6/80 with McGrath undefeated with 27 runs from just 43 deliveries.
