The As continued their winning form in the T20 comp to be
top after three rounds.
We completely dominated East Torrens making 2/196 off 20
overs. Tahlia 51,, Jess 61 and Kylie 54 no (26 balls)
dominating with the bat.
We bowled them out for 64 in an innings highlighted by Kelly
Armstrong’s hat trick. She bowled batter New with the last ball of her 3rd
over and had batters N Smith and Guatta stumped with the first two balls of her
fourth over. Kayla McGrath and Jess O’Reilly also took two wickets apiece.
Kylie’s stumpings take her to
six for the season across the two competitions with four catches.
In the 50 over comp we lost to our nemesis team Sturt.
Batting first we got off to a solid start with Rachael (12)
and Tahlia (27) seeing of the State opening bowlers Megan Schutt and Rhianna
Peate. But it was the state off spinner Price who halted our momentum. Dayna
continued her good form with 30 – being run out just as she was starting to
launch.
We finished with 118 – batting our allotted overs.
We bowled and fielded well with Dayna and Donna dismissing
their openers inside the first eight overs. We took a third wicket in the 10th
over to have them 3/36 – but a 48 run 4th wicket partnership took
the game out of our reach. They passed
us in the 28th over.
Kelly Armstrong bowled well taking two wickets and Kylie had
her FOURTH stumping for the season (all off the faster bowlers).
