In the battle for second spot in the T20 comp we lost to
Northern –with West Torrens win we dropped from second to fourth.
Batting first we started well with 33 off the first five
overs and we had two big overs where we scored 11 and 12 off an over but 111
was about 20 runs below par. Our next best partnership was 26 between Rachael
and Dayna.
Rachael scored her PB for the season with 31 off 42 hitting
four 4s and put the bad balls away well. Tabitha and Tahlia were the next best with 16
apiece.
We were fortunate to have Georgia Weatherspoon (who took at
great catch at first slip and made 9) and Tabitha Saville from KI and Alice
Springs. Both players were preparing for
the Under 18 National Championships in Ballarat over the next two weeks. They were under the watchful eye of State
Under 18 coach Greg Quinn.
We took a wicket in the first over but former state player
Brittany Perry (17) and current state player Hannah Perry (52no) saw them to 62
and Under 18 rep Ainslee Knight (18 no) saw them home in the 15th
over.
Tahlia, Donna and Courtney as Under 15s!!!
Tabitha in last year's Under 15s.
We wish our state Under 18s reps well.
Don’t forget the quiz night next Saturday evening at Bice
Oval clubrooms from 7pm.
