Kelly Armstrong had "a day out" in the Cs game against Northern.
Bowling medium pacers she bowled very well in the windy conditions taking 4/2 off four overs (including one no ball). Having put in a PB with the ball she backed it up with a run-a-ball 31 in our innings of 84 batting at Number four. The performance earned her a Powerade Cricketer of the Week nomination.
The Cs failed by 21 runs to chase Northern's 105. The best partnership was a 47 run stand between Kelly and Tianna Muirhead.
In the Northern innings Kayla McGrath and Amy White took a wicket each.
The As went held Kensington to 69 off 20 overs with Jess O'Reilly taking 2/12 with economic support from Courtney Brideson 1/6 off three and Tahlia McGrath 1/6 off two overs.
We could not establish any partnerships over 11 and were dismissed for 37.
The Bs had a similar problem – batting first we made 25 against Sturt – Donna Clark took their only wicket as they passed us in the 12th over.
