BRIDESON BLITZES BROWNS - Bs in the finals

Courtney Brideson produced career best figures of 6/0 and 3/3 to spearhead the Bs outright win over Kensington.
Courtney bowled with pace and accuracy to the Browns 7/12 after nine overs.  The quick dismissals meant we could control the game. We passed their score in the second over and proceeded to score quickly to give ourselves over two hours to dismiss them again.  They scored 14.

We batted for 21 overs to make 126 with Nuggett making 34, Linda Shaw 20 and Nicole Baker 18.  Of the first eight batters five were retired.
We dismissed them for 27 batting a second time.

The 29 point game ensures the Bs will play finals.  This has been a huge effort for Marg Hay’s team as they won only one game in the first half of the season.
The As were set 254 by Sturt.  Donna Clark earned her best figures for the season with 4/31. Rachael (6) and Tahlia (44) gave us a good start with 31 – but the next best partnership was 29 for the last wicket between Hannah Armstrong (16 – her PB in A Grade) and Kayla McGrath (5).

Kylie Rattray’s big day out.

Kylie had scored her highest score in a school game for Woodcroft College last Monday.  Her 156 no was scored off 44 balls with 13 fours and 14 sixes.  She was playing against Adelaide High who were the 2011 champions in the Open Girls Competition.

This week the As play Port at Helen Black on Saturday, the Bs play Port at Christies on Sunday.  The C grade girls have a game at Adelaide Oval at 9 am Sunday morning.
