Kylie inspires win

Kylie Rattray returned to her form of last season with a typically aggressive 71 no off 36 balls to give us our second T20 win for the season.

Kylie hit seven sixes and three four s in a devastating final five overs where she scored 61 of the required 70 runs off24 balls with seven sixes and three fours.

With one over to go she hit the third ball for six, fourth ball for four, had a wide bowled to her ball five and hit the final ball of the game for six to secure the win.

In West Torrens innings they were 1/59 after 10 and looked headed for 120 or more but we held them to 107.

Tight bowling in the middle overs from Kayla McGrath 3/6 ( off three)  and some good fielding saw us hold the Eagles to 48 off their last ten overs including 3/7 in the last three.

Brandi Ongley continued her good work with a further two wickets and Dayna Cox picked up two tail enders to finish with 2/19.

Brandi Ongley also batted well to make 12 and consolidate the innings after the loss of two early wickets.  Dayna Cox took the bulk of the Eagles opening bowlers to finish with 17 off 24 (including a six.)

Kayla McGrath again provided invaluable support for Kylie – she was involved in a 43 run stand for the fifth wicket – scoring  two but she ran well.

Donna Clark also made two – facing only four balls of the 32 run sixth wicket stand in 16 balls.
