Tahlia McGrath continued her rich vein of form with 76
against Port. This season she has scores of 47, 69 and 76 for Southern. She has also been involved in two match
winning partnerships with the State Team over recent weeks 31 of 62 v WA and 25
of 78 v Qld (both with state captain Lauren Ebsary.)
Thanks to debut players Olivia Robinson and Lexi Edwards who
assisted us over the weekend. We also
had our Alice Springs player Tabatha Saville and Kangaroo Islander Georgia
Weatherspoon.
Tabatha scored her highest score of 36 adding 106 for the
second wicket with Tahlia. Georgia
bowled economically conceding 32 runs off her 10 overs.
We made 189 off our 50 overs.
Brandi Ongley took a wicket in her first over to give us the
start we were after. We took the wicket
of state player Amanda Wellington in the 13th over. But an 82 run stand for the third wicket took
the gme out of our reach. despite two
wickets (one run out) in one over from Tabitha Port scored the runs in the 37yh
over. Port captain and state keeper
Alicia Dean finished 102 no.
This week sees the start of the C grade competition with
Serena Ongley, Nikki Moyle and the Charman sisters being joined by our new players
from the Reynella all girls competition.
We wish Kayla McGrath well with her Under 15 duties over the
next few weeks.
