Women: Cs open the season with a win

The C grade opened the season with a 75 run win over Northern.

With the B grade forfeit we were able to play regular B graders Kayla McGrath, Cara Allen and Linda Anderson.

Having won the toss we got of to a flyer with first gamer Tayla Ferguson and Kayla McGrath making 32 in the first five overs. Kayla's wicket was OUR ONLY LOSS OF WICKET FOR THE GAME. Tayla batted very well for 27 (off 30 balls), Cara Allen 28 (37) , captain Amy White 13 (17) and Hannah Clarke 8 (5) were all retired.

Kayla, Cara and Tayla bowled accurately in our first set of five. It was the sixth over of the innings with a wicket to Tianna Muirhead ( the first of Marg Jude's stumpings!). Tianna followed with a wicket in her second over, Tayla Ferguson in her second over and Hannah Clarke cleaned up the tail with three wickets in four balls at the end of the innings.

Tayla Ferguson (first senior game having played Under 16s two seasons ago and our Indoor team in the winter of 2008.)
